Documentor POS Integrates with TransNet Payment Engine

POS System with TransNet is pre-certified to security standards and transaction processors.

Ottawa, Canada, June 23, 2010 - Precidia Technologies Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of Internet Protocol (IP) payment and networking products, announced today that the TransNet payment engine application has been selected by Documentor to integrate secure, processor certified payments with its POS system. By integrating TransNet, the Documentor POS solution can accept credit, debit, gift and loyalty cards, routing transactions to the processor of choice. For POS software developers like Documentor, TransNet's Developer's Kit provides a fast, simple route to fully integrated payments, minimizing the efforts required to achieve PA-DSS validation and the required processor certifications.

Documentor POS systems with TransNet deliver a cost effective alternative to expensive integrated systems. Popular amongst KFC and other leading fast food franchises, Documentor POS offers industry standard features at a fraction of the cost. Documentor chose to integrate the TransNet payment engine capability with its software, in order to avoid the cost and difficulty of recertifying each successive version of its system. TransNet is housed on the secure POSLynx220 payment router, ensuring the POS system does not store or handle transaction data. This router-based model, the most secure in the industry, lifts the burden of PA-DSS validation from developers like Documentor.

To facilitate better management and control of the payment function, TransNet also offers the NetVu and MerchantVu management servers. Both are accessible via a standard web browser, and offer 24/7 data for each location and device. NetVu is designed to assist support and IT staff, with network status, configuration and remote deployment. MerchantVu delivers store-level data to the merchant, including batch reports and transaction logs. MerchantVu also features alerts for network failure and suspicious transactions, helping to reduce downtime and fraud at the point-of-sale.

"Not only does TransNet eliminate PA-DSS recertification hassles, it is also certified to multiple transaction processors", said Charles Houston, President of Documentor. "These processor certifications make it much easier for us to offer a full range of options to merchants, allowing them to select the processors they wish with ease. Using the TransNet Developer's Kit, we were able to easily integrate the payment application, and it has worked reliably for our customers".

Precidia President Deepak Wanner believes that TransNet is the ideal solution for developers of POS systems for any industry: "From hair salons to professional offices, there are many applications out there that help manage business operations. For the developers of these systems, TransNet can remove the headache of payments, allowing them to focus on their core development activities", said Wanner.
