Precidia’s TransNet payment engine has been flexibly designed to operate on a range of hardware platforms. For smaller merchants without access to a Cisco router, the POSLynx220 is the ideal platform, with 2 dial and 2 serial ports for peripheral integration, as well as full security and automatic dial back-up. For larger merchants, ISOs or processors, the Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR) offers as many as 1200 ports for multiple merchants or locations. In many instances, an existing Cisco router can become the TransNet platform, resulting in significant cost savings. For those merchants looking for a full featured IP terminal, TransNet has been integrated with the PAX S80 and S90payment terminal models. These terminals offer all of the remote management tools and features available with NetVu, with the comprehensive security TransNet is known for.
Precidia’s approach to payments is unique. While many payment applications and virtual terminals exist, Precidia’s is the first to leverage a secure, fully managed hardware platform to enhance cardholder data security. By housing the application on a secure router or PAX payment terminal rather than the POS device itself or a PC, the payments function is less vulnerable to attack and therefore offers more comprehensive protection of cardholder data. In addition, the use of a payment router or terminal allows for the simple integration of multiple peripherals, such as pinpads, check readers and magstripe readers.

| "With cardholder data security such a significant issue, our customers can leverage this unprecedented level of control in regards to the initial deployment and ongoing operation of the terminal. Having the ability to direct the flow of transactions down to card type or ensuring that the terminal can be locked down to prevent changes are just some of the features that differentiate this solution from the legacy landscape." |
Ken Paull, President, U.S. PAX |
| "TransNet is a key plank in Cisco's core unified communications strategy.
