| The EtherSDLC is the ideal solution for single-lane merchants such as convenience stores, which use the product to take advantage of cost-effective IP-based connectivity options such as private satellite networks. Speed sensitive multi-lane merchants such as grocery stores and quick service retail (QSR), can also take advantage of the EtherSDLC to connect their existing Hypercom payment terminals currently running on a proprietary SDLC LAN, to an IP Network. The EtherSDLC provides the bridge between the RS485-based LAN, and an Ethernet LAN. Converting the protocol smoothly, the EtherSDLC ensures reliable, efficient transaction processing. |
