Dots Building Automation/Security

  • ECS Controls - The Ether232Plus helped ECS Control's customers to manage legacy HVAC systems in schools more efficiently.
  • Pathminder - PathMinder wanted to marry its unique technology, which includes a real-time remote monitoring software, with a device that would facilitate the transmission of data from the RS232 based turnstile back to an organization's LAN/WAN, for real-time remote monitoring and diagnostics.

Dots Hospitality

  • ZAO Noodle Bar - How can a restaurant gain the speed and cost benefits of an IP-based transaction processing solution, without the capital and training expenses required by an IP terminal? ZAO Noodle Bar faced this dilemma, and today has deployed an inexpensive, seamless solution to eliminate monthly dial line costs and speed transactions.

Dots IT & Telecommunications

  • Spectralink - Precidia helped SpectraLink's customers to remotely access SpectraLink’s Open Application Interface (OAI) from their network. SpectraLink Wireless Telephone Systems provide mobile communications in the workplace, communicating with third party applications in functions as diverse as nurse call notification, inhouse paging, alarm and security monitoring, and industrial controls.
  • Tharaldson Communications, Inc. - In consultation with Mitel, Tharaldson chose the Precidia iPocket232 to deploy with the Mitel SX 200 ICP. It proves to be a simple, cost-effective method to connect their customers' voice mail, PMS and SMDR systems to the PBX.
  • The New PL - The Ether232Plus facilitated remote management of broadcasting equipment across a broad geographic territory for CHUM television, connecting VTRs, cameras, switchers, audioboards and teleprompters to an Ethernet WAN.

Dots Manufacturing

  • Cignify Corporation - Labor Management solutions provider Cignify turned to Precidia to help their customer, a business operator, collect time and attendance data more efficiently. The customer required a solution, which would connect 250 RS232 time clock terminals, via Ethernet, to an existing network, for real time data collection and device monitoring.
  • Frame Textiles - Manufacturing environments typify the challenge of today's businesses to contain equipment and communications costs, while maintaining efficient operations. Most manufacturing environments contain a large installed base of costly equipment, from robots to test equipment, much of which uses proprietary protocols.

Dots Medical/Healthcare

  • Arcata Police Department - The Arcata Police Department selected the Ether232Plus to facilitate improved information gathering and timeliness of their 911 Emergency response. The Ether232Plus provided an alternative to a costly telephone line to share data between a dispatch system and their E911 telephone equipment.

Dots Retail

  • Chapters/Indigo Books - The Ether3201 helped Canada's largest bookseller to migrate payment terminals onto an existing IP network across all of its stores. The solution allowed the retailer to eliminate costs associated with running a parallel network.
  • DirectCash - DirectCash ATM, a leading processor of white-label ATMs in Canada, wanted portable machines in order to provide a strategic offering to its customers for leverage in a competitive market.
  • Toot N' Totum Convenience Stores - Toot n'Totum Convenience Stores, based in Amarillo, Texas, found a way to reduce cabling and equipment at the countertop, while dramatically reducing check authorization times.
  • US South - U.S. South is a leader in providing prepaid wireless programs, with over 40,000 locations using their transaction processing capabilities. US South offers multiple wireless carrier airtime programs, prepaid Internet and long distance, and stored value programs such as gift cards and prepaid fuel solutions.

Dots Power & Utilities

  • NOAA (U.S. National Weather Service) - The IP232 modem device helped the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA), the Federal Department that operates the U.S. National Weather Service, eliminate the use of modems, and costly long distance charges, to collect weather information from serial-based gauges and sensors at sites across the North Eastern United States.
  • Colonial Pipelines - Each day, hundreds of millions of gallons of petroleum products are shipped all over the world by pipeline companies. The vast underground and aboveground pipeline networks are continuously worked on day and night, being monitored and managed while petroleum products are pumped through the network.

Dots Transportation

  • Large Courier - Precidia was selected by one of the world's leading courier companies. Until recently, their delivery personnel filed daily reports on non-deliveries only, via a telephone system. Data collection using this process was limited, and planning was laborious.
