Challenge
| Managing multiple serial-based electronic signs requires cumbersome and expensive cabling, as well as dedicated PCs to run applications that change and control the messages displayed on each sign. In many cases, the messages change frequently, and users are searching for a more efficient means of managing these displays. |
Solution
| Precidia's Remote Access devices make remote control of serial-based electronic displays in outdoor or indoor applications possible. The iPocket232 and Ether232Plus work by providing a simple serial/IP interface, enabling RS232, RS422 or RS485 data transmissions over Ethernet networks. With this solution, multiple electronic signs are programmable from any PC on the network. The devices offer access via Telnet, standard web browser, Async COM Port, or COM Re-Direct. |
