Networking Temporary POS Locations
Challenge
| Many merchants, like grocery stores and Farmer's Markets, set up seasonal outdoor sales outlets. They require a mobile payment system that can be relocated easily and connected to the internal store network. To minimize training requirements and avoid additional office procedures, it's important that the temporary terminals operate similarly to the in-store point-of-sale. |
Solution
| More cost-effective than wireless payment terminals, Precidia's POSConnect products such as the Ether232POS convert dial or serial point-of-sale data to Ethernet. POSConnect products can link all of the required equipment, including the cash register, payment terminal and pin pad, onto the store's existing network. Using wireless radios, transaction data can be processed in the same manner as the main store. |
| Just like transactions processed within the main store, the merchant is protected by real-time transaction authorization. The merchant gains a fully integrated debit and credit transaction processing that leverages existing infrastructure and equipment. |
